More About Me – Part 2

1.7.16 -> New pic of meAbout a year ago when I first made this blog, my About Me post was one of the first ones published. Rereading that post a year later, it’s crazy to see how much has changed. It’s time to give an update about what has happened in the past 12 months.

2016: My Year in $avings

635845200979031950-1693487873_2016yayHappy 2016! I really cannot believe it’s here already. 2015 was a big year for me -graduating college, moving into my own apartment, starting a new job, starting to pay bills – doing everything real adult humans do. Now that I’ve been doing this for a few months now, things are starting to fall into place and become routine. But a new year brings new resolutions and changes, and I am no exception.

Adventures at the RMV

rmv_logoYesterday, I had the absolute privilege of going to the RMV. I know what you’re all thinking, “How could you be so lucky?”

I do feel very lucky to have a car (and now own it). However, dealing with the “adult” parts of taking care of it is pretty annoying, especially when the RMV sends you in circles to accomplish anything.

As you can imagine, the RMV is a crazy place, and with that, always come a crazy story. So while I was there, I decided to document my experience in real time. This is my story.

#NaBloPoMo Day 5: It’s Time to Get Creative

Not to my surprise, posting everyday is as hard as it sounds. After spending a whole day at work staring at a computer, the last thing I want to do is stare at another. But I know it’s important, so here goes try number two.

DIY: Melted Crayon Pumpkin

IMG_7570One of my favorite people in the world is my baby sister, Sadie. She’ll be 6 next month, and is at the perfect age to play and do fun activities with. When I came across the melted crayon pumpkin arts and crafts activity, I knew I had to do it with her. Partially, I just wanted an excuse to do it myself, but I knew she would love it as well. As someone who doesn’t really have an artistic bone in her body (Sadie has many), I was initially concerned about how it would be. But it turned out to be super easy, a lot of fun, and as arts and crafts should be, a little messy!

Moving Out, Moving On

I’ve never been good at change. I didn’t like it when my mom get new curtains in our living room, or when we got new glasses for our kitchen. So when big changes happen, you can say I’m not the biggest fan. When I found out the house I grew up in sold and a new family was moving in, I was in denial. Another change was coming and I was not happy about it. Continue reading
